Chief Information Officer (CIO) Full Time

This is a Leadership position involving overall responsibility to build the IT infrastructure for the company and select/ deploy appropriate IT solutions for the business. The job entails having the complete ownership of the IT facilities and systems operational at all sites, spread across various company locations including branches and Plant

Act as a solution provider to all present and future IT requirements of the employees, for hardware, software & integrated solutions, located across India. Be totally responsible for maintaining and developing the IT infrastructure of the company and leading a team of IT professionals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

(A). FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:

• To formulate the robust IT Policy & practices including security and disaster recovery management for the organization and act as a custodian of all aspect of IT infrastructure, Software, Analytics, and people management.
• Manpower planning and Budgeting and for IT Infrastructure for the company and ensuring compliance with the same. Design and maintain different IT solutions to meet the business requirements including Intranet systems, their usage and controlling policy manuals
• Responsible for all IT procurement activities including services, hardware, and software, including validating & testifying the exact requirement for hardware (configuration) and software, as indented by the user or department.
• To deploy the business processes, SAP ERP and support applications and systems within the company network and ensure that they are well used by the users across locations within the company.
• To undertake business process re-engineering/change management (on need basis) and closely work with functional people for documentation and final deployment of the same.
• Application Development: Development of workflow-based applications on business demand/requirement.
• Extending IT Support to the factory and branches, and other remote locations, as decided from time to time.
• To ensure compliance with departmental and company common procedures for ISO 9001 compliance, by all department personnel without exception
• LAN Maintenance and trouble shooting of the office LAN consisting of all machines/instruments and servers, cloud based, Printers etc. The office LAN consists of heterogeneous mixture of desktops /laptops /domain controller/member servers. This involves Desktop management, Asset Management and extending Helpdesk Support to the users.
• Server Administration – Server security, user management, managing access control list, active directory/group policy management. The OS is primarily Windows
• Maintenance and version up gradation of various engineering automation softwares like AutoCAD, STAAD, MBS, Tekla etc
• Desktop / Laptop Management – Managing the OS and all the applications and printer connectivity running within the network, for both desktops & laptops (provided by the company).
• Helpdesk Support – Resolution of day to day calls for the internal users , supporting them, regular scheduled antivirus updates, availability of software license through network, windows updates and other engineering softwares as and when required.
• Backup and storage management in compliance with the prevailing company IT policies, through Backup software.
• IT Asset Management – Maintaining records of all IT Assets, their distribution and conduct regular audits to track their ethical & proper usage. Also responsible for license management of network versions of engineering softwares
• Maintenance of vendor contracts and adherence to the SLAs (Service Level Agreements)- Coordination and follow up with vendors for hardware and software support.
• Coordination with the various hardware and support service vendors (including ISP) for successful upkeep of the WAN/LAN connectivity. Planning and Optimization of all IT resources including routers, switches, firewalls and servers.
• Support the SAP ERP user (SAP) users in their day-to-day problems as a member of the internal SAP support desk, to help the team during SAP implementation & usage in the company.
• Preparation of documents and manuals and conducting end user training, extending support & hand holding employees from time to time
• To conduct regular process overview/training sessions with the team members and the other department users to ensure that the IT processes meet the business needs.
• To conduct regular IT audit and security policies implementation, across all company offices & locations.

(B). PEOPLE / TEAM MANAGEMENT:

• To prepare appropriate department staffing (manpower requirement) along with relevant justification and recruit the manpower as per agreed deadlines (post approval from the Directors)
• To finalize the team members KRAs and ensure that each member is allocated their performance KRAs & regularly review their performance. Also conduct performance appraisal exercise, in line with the process defined by HR dept.
• To ensure that all department personnel strictly comply to the established systems and procedures & adhere to agreed work guidelines
• To assess from time to time the required gaps in skills, knowledge and training, in both technical -IT & non-technical areas (soft skills domain), thereby initiate suitable learning initiatives or forums or nomination to open courses to bridge the same, as felt necessary.
• To handhold / coach / guide / develop the immediate reportees, so that they can successfully handle all work challenges and move up on the career path.
• To ensure that proper reports/MIS & any other relevant data is duly maintained, generated, submitted to relevant authority & also duly filed in the department.
• Any other matter as may be assigned by the Management.
